Benign Growths
A variety of benign, non –cancerous, growths may appear on the skin with time. The cause of these growths is poorly understood, and many are associated with aging while others run in families. Treatment is generally not indicated, but many patients seek removal for aesthetic reasons secondary to increasing size, irritation, pain or to rule out something more concerning. Some of these lesions includes angiomas, cysts, milias, dermatofibromas, lipomas, seborrheic keratoses, and skin tags. Please see their respective sections.
