Dermatofibromas
Dermatofibromas are benign, firm, pink or tan growths that resemble moles (nevi). On average, they are less than 1 cm in size, and dimple in when the edges of the lesion are pressed inward. A small number of patients may experience tenderness, however in most they are asymptomatic. Dermatofibromas are thought to be a scar-like process secondary to bug bites or other skin trauma. Theses lesions do not need to be removed. In select cases, they may be treated by surgical removal.
