GlamDerm (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website at glamderm.com. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and what choices you have.

This policy covers this website only. Information you share with us as a patient — including messages sent through our Klara patient-messaging service, and anything held in your medical record — is handled under our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, available from either of our offices on request.

Information you give us

  • Appointment requests made through this website or through our Zocdoc and Klara integrations — typically your name, contact details, and the reason for your visit.
  • Messages you send using the “Message us” widget, which is operated by Klara.
  • Anything you tell us by phone, by email, or in person.

Information collected automatically

When you browse this site, cookies and similar technologies may record your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, and the time of your visit. Apart from the single strictly necessary cookie described below, none of this happens unless you consent to it.

Third-party services on this site

These providers may receive information about your visit. Each is blocked until you consent, except where noted.

  • Google Analytics 4 — measures how the site is used. Loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Zocdoc — appointment scheduling. See Zocdoc’s privacy policy.
  • Klara — secure patient messaging and appointment requests. See Klara’s privacy policy.
  • YouTube and Vimeo — embedded videos on some pages. Until you consent, these are replaced with a placeholder image and no video provider is contacted.
  • AddToAny — social sharing buttons. See AddToAny’s privacy policy.
  • CookieYes — runs the consent banner and keeps a record of consent choices. This is the one service that operates before consent, because it is what asks for your consent. See CookieYes’s privacy policy.
  • Google reviews — we display reviews left on our Google Business Profile. Review text and reviewer images are copied to our own server, so viewing them does not contact Google.

Fonts used on this site are served from our own server and do not contact any third party.

Your choices

  • On your first visit you are asked to Accept All, Reject All, or Customise which categories you allow.
  • You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Consent Preferences button at the bottom-left corner of every page.
  • Withdrawing consent for analytics also deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
  • You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how parts of the site work.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above, so they can perform their function for us, and where we are required to do so by law.

How long we keep information

Analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention period configured for our property. Your consent record is kept for one year so that we can demonstrate what you agreed to. Appointment requests and patient communications are retained in line with our practice record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to obtain a copy, and to opt out of certain processing. This includes residents of US states with consumer privacy laws, and visitors from the EEA and the UK. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Do Not Track

This website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. The consent banner described above is the way to control tracking on this site.

Children’s privacy

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top.
